Quotes from Counselors and Responders
The material met my expectations and more! The additional naming of the dynamics gave me an expansion of the identity of the different coercive control behaviors. Through this course, I enhanced my lived experience from working in the field for 40 years.

As a clinician, these materials really enlightened me to a different way of seeing relationships. The thorough definitions and terminology of abuse increased my level of understanding and left me feeling more empathic and compassionate towards clients. Trauma-Informed Approach
At The MEND Project, we use a trauma-informed approach to recognize the widespread impact of trauma on individuals. We create a safe and supportive environment for anyone experiencing ongoing stress and confusion to gain clarity and healing through our understanding of how trauma has a profound and lasting impact on people’s lives. This perspective enables us to meet the unique needs of survivors right where they are, fostering trust and empowerment.
We help survivors reclaim their voices and navigate their healing journeys by emphasizing safety, choice, and having the proper support. Implementing trauma-informed care is essential to creating a compassionate space where individuals can begin to heal and rebuild their lives.
Ongoing Coaching Call Sponsorship
Did you know The MEND Project offers monthly group coaching calls for survivors?
RESTORE with MEND Coaching Calls are live, interactive sessions where survivors of abuse can ask questions, share their stories, and gain deeper clarity on their experiences in a safe and compassionate space. These calls are invaluable for survivors to connect with a community that understands what they’re going through and gives them hope for healing.
We invite you to partner with us in making these ongoing RESTORE calls available to as many survivors and responders as possible. For as little as $10 a month, you provide the cost of a subscription to a survivor and help make these calls accessible for anyone impacted by abuse.

Help Us Break Language Barriers and Bring Healing Across the Globe
At The MEND Project, we are committed to equipping survivors and responders worldwide with the tools they need to heal and support others. To fulfill this mission, we’ve been hard at work translating our survivor course and key materials into multiple languages, ensuring that more individuals can access life-changing resources in their native tongue.
We’re thrilled to share that our entire survivor course is now translated into Spanish, and we are in the process of building the curriculum to make it fully accessible. Additionally, we’ve completed translations of our terms, definitions, and core handouts into French and Portuguese, which are in the final stages of refinement.
But our work isn’t done yet.
To complete this ambitious project and make these resources available to the global community, we need to recover the funds already invested and raise the remaining $8,500 to finish the translations, build the curriculum, and expand our reach.
Why Your Support Matters:
No amount is too small. Every dollar brings us closer to completing this vital project and making these resources universally accessible. Together, we can ensure survivors and responders everywhere have the support they need to heal, recover, and thrive.
Thank you for helping us create a world where healing knows no language barriers.
